THE BLOOD-HORSE MARKETWATCH NEWSLETTER WINS 2008 APEX AWARD OF EXCELLENCE
Lexington, Ky. - Blood-Horse Publications announces that The Blood-Horse MarketWatch, a comprehensive newsletter for Thoroughbred investment professionals, has received an Award for Publication Excellence in the print newsletter class of the twentieth annual APEX® Awards. The esteemed program recognizes excellence in publications work by professional communicators. APEX® Awards are based on excellence in graphic design, editorial content, and the ability to achieve overall communications excellence. The Blood-Horse MarketWatch was one of nearly 4,500 national and international entries in this year's competition. Overall, 1,393 Awards of Excellence were awarded, recognizing exceptional entries in 110 subcategories. The APEX® Awards are sponsored by the editors of Writing That Works, a division of Communications Concepts, Inc.
The APEX® Award is the second publication honor bestowed upon The Blood-Horse MarketWatch in the past month. In June, the newsletter was also awarded Second Place in the equine-related newsletter (print) category of the 2008 American Horse Publications' Awards Program. This marks the third time in the past four years The Blood-Horse MarketWatch has won an APEX® Award.
