BLOODHORSE.COM LAUNCHES 2nd ANNUAL VOTING CONTEST "MARCH INTO MAY"
"Who is the greatest Kentucky Derby champion of all time?"
Racing fans get their chance to decide. 64 horses. 6 rounds. 1 champion.

LEXINGTON, Ky.  - March 20 - BloodHorse.com announces the launch of the second annual voting contest "March into May," sponsored by Bet America. Beginning today, and throughout the six weeks leading to the May 2 Kentucky Derby, Thoroughbred racing fans should regularly visit BloodHorse.com and cast their votes to determine "the greatest" Kentucky Derby champion of all time.

Selected by The Blood-Horse staff, 64 Kentucky Derby winners have been placed into a bracket (similar to college basketball's "March Madness" brackets). Instead of regions, however, each quadrant of the bracket is represented by Derby winners from different time periods - 1875-1920, 1921-1950, 1951-1980, and 1981-2008. Now it is up to the fans to vote for their favorites, deciding which horse, among each head-to-head vote, was the better Thoroughbred racehorse. Participants are also invited to defend and debate their picks with the rest of the BloodHorse.com community.

The horses receiving the most votes in each bracket will advance to the next round of 32, then 16, then eight, then four, and ultimately down to the final two. Will it be Aristides? Citation? War Admiral? Secretariat? Smarty Jones? Someone else? Each week, a new round of voting will commence until one classic Kentucky Derby champion captures the crown. Fans may register to participate by visiting: http://www.BloodHorse.com/March-into-May. A $250 wagering credit from Bet America will be given away each week to a random participant. Visit BloodHorse.com for complete rules and details.

The entertaining game is inspired by the hugely popular book, Thoroughbred Champions: Top 100 Racehorses of the 20th Century, published by Eclipse Press, and available through ExclusivelyEquine.com.

Who will be voted the greatest Kentucky Derby champion of all time? Starting today, it is up to the fans to decide!
