Keeneland Offers B.C. Wagering Options

Sure Keeneland will wait until next year to host the Breeders' Cup World Championships, but this year the Lexington track will offer plenty of simulcast and drive-thru wagering options for the two-day event Friday, Oct. 31, and Saturday, Nov. 1, from Santa Anita Park.

Fans who wish to spend either day at Keeneland will be welcomed with free general admission and parking. Gates open at 11 a.m. Friday with first post from Santa Anita at 2:25 p.m. (EDT) and first Breeders' Cup race scheduled for 5:25 p.m. The day's final Breeders' Cup race, the Distaff (gr. I) is scheduled for 7:35 p.m.

Gates also open at 11 a.m. Saturday with the first Santa Anita post set for 1:15 p.m., the first Breeders' Cup race at 3:05 p.m., and the Breeders' Cup Classic (gr. I) at 8:35 p.m.

The Breeders' Cup simulcast from Santa Anita will be shown on TV monitors throughout the facility as well as on the infield tote board. Additionally, Keeneland will show NBC Sports Network coverage on monitors throughout the track beginning at 4 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday. NBC coverage of the Breeders' Cup Classic begins at 8 p.m. Saturday.

Fans who wish to put in their wagers and catch the event at home or elsewhere will be able to use Keeneland's drive-thru wagering windows from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to 8:35 p.m. Saturday. Advance wagering on Saturday's Breeders' Cup races will be available Friday.

On both days, Keeneland also will offer wagering at The Thoroughbred Center on Paris Pike and at the Kentucky Horse Park's Alltech Arena.
