Preakness Late Pick 4

For what it's worth (probably not much), here are my late Pick 4 selections for the Preakness day card. With Big Brown seemingly a "free" selection on the back end, it seems like a tantalizing Pick 4 to play.

Because most of you seem to play on a budget similar to mine, I limited myself to a ticket under $100. This $1 bet will cost $96.

Race 9 - Hirsch Jacobs: Commandeered (1), Lantana Mob (3), Indy Joe (6), Force Freeze (8)

Race 10 - Dixie: Distorted Reality (2), Shakis (4), Stay Close (6), Salinja (8)

Race 11 - Allaire DuPont Distaff: Runway Rosie (2), Peach Flambe (3), Bear Now (4), Lexi Star (6), Buy the Barrel (7), Wow Me Free (9)

Race 12 - Preakness: Big Brown (7)

13 Comments:

9th race- its all Force Freeze..speed kills

10th race- Stay Close could surprise and Shakis just in case.

11th race- Bear Now end of story.

12th race- Big Brown by 10.

I like it a lot.  I will likely trim it down some and play it for more than a buck, but I am in agreement about your choices more or less.  I'll toss Force Freeze in leg A, Stay Close and Salinja in Leg B, Bear Now, Buy the Barrel and Wow me Free in Leg C and go with Big Brown to bring it home.  Mine should cost about 18 bucks, so if I play it for 5, It will cost 90 bucks.  Good luck everbody....

Here is mine 1,3,8, with 4 with all with 7 = 27 bucks

8,3 with all with 4 with 7 = 27 bucks.  Good luck everyone.

Wow...Wow...Wow.....

That is all I have to say about Big Brown. Casino drive may show up at the the Bellmont, but it will be all Big Brown.  He had more than enough juice left at the end of this race. He has turbo jets attached to his feet. He is truly an amazing animal. He won today for Eight Belles!!!! Triple Crown, here we come.......

yeah Curlin is packing his bags to leave the continent rather than stay and face Big Brown.  Hopefully Big Brown follows him around the world and seeks him out wherever he runs.

wilson 17 May 2008 10:32 PM

Hey Wilson: Keep dreaming if you think you will see Big Brown on the racetrack after the Belmont. Enjoy him in his last race.

Wish he was a gelding.....I would love to see him on the track for the next few years......

#1. Curlin was planning on the Arc before Brown even ran at 3

#2. Curlins beyers are still better than Browns

#3. Brown is done after the Belmont

#4. Curlin is the proven best horse in the world

someone stole my wilson moniker, and you Big Brown can run in the Arc too for all I thinnk.

wilson 18 May 2008 10:30 PM

Seriously though, If Curlin and Big Brown ever met in a race, Curlin would run BB into the dust

Shannon 19 May 2008 10:26 PM

Curlin ducks the big one
