Dance to Bristol takes Ollie Figgins III to the big stage.

The Nov. 16 retirement ceremony at Laurel Park honoring three-time graded stakes winner Dance to Bristol was bittersweet for Ollie Figgins III. The 39-year-old trainer stood in the winner’s circle with tears streaming down his face, realizing it may be one of the last times he would see the best horse he has had in his barn since taking out his trainer’s license in 2005.
But with Figgins’ consistent record, coupled with the investment he makes in each horse, the odds for saddling more stars are in his favor.
