Madison County Thoroughbred finds its niche in Iowa

While Pam Schutz isn’t the first person to fall in love with horses and want to turn her passion into her livelihood, she’s one of the few to make it work in her native Iowa. Schutz, along with her husband, Mike Connolly, run Madison County Thoroughbred in the Hawkeye State, offering a full-service breeding, boarding, and lay-up operation on the farm that has been in Schutz’ family for more than 100 years.
