FOR AN INDUSTRY to flourish in the future, attracting young and passionate participants is vital. That's been one of Thoroughbred racing's mantras for some time, and while success on that front can be debated, there is no question that 30-somethings Chris Hicks, owner of Red Lane Thoroughbreds, and Frank Alosa, Red Lane's racing and bloodstock manager, fall into that elusive category.
