FENWICK EQUESTRIAN TO MANUFACTURE HIGH PERFORMANCE PRODUCTS FOR COMPETITION HORSES

Launches FenwickEquestrian.com

CAMDEN, S.C. (May 25, 2010) - Fenwick Equestrian, a new manufacturing company of equine products featuring high performance fabrics for horses of all disciplines, was launched today by Wilhelmina McEwan and her brother, Fred McEwan. The company also announced partnership agreements with the Breeders' Cup, Churchill Downs, Purina Mills and the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games.


 Fenwick Equestrian will manufacture and sell custom designed, coolers, saddle pads and leg boots for the equestrian and thoroughbred racing industries.   The Fenwick line of products will be sold in tack stores across the country beginning in June.


The Fenwick industry partners are as follows:
·         Fenwick has been named the official equine supplier of the Breeders' Cup. As a part of the agreement, all horses competing in the Breeders' Cup World Championships, Nov. 5, 6 at Churchill Downs will be issued a Fenwick cooler.  Winners of all 14 Breeders' Cup races will be receiving a special Champions blanket after each race.  In addition, all Breeders' Cup Challenge qualifying race winners during the summer and fall will be receiving a Fenwick fly sheet.
·         Fenwick has also reached an agreement with the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games, taking place in Lexington, Ky., Sept. 25-Oct. 10, to provide the winners with a championship cooler.
·         Fenwick has also partnered with Purina Mills, as an official provider of equine products for Purina-sponsored horse sport events and Purina Ambassadors.
·         Fenwick provided Churchill Downs with coolers for all entrants and  the official blanket for the winners of both the recently completed Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Oaks.

 As a part of Fenwick's custom- made production process, its distinctive braid and trim work for the blankets, are manufactured in Rock Hill, S.C.   The trim is applied in Florence, S.C. and the embroidery work is done in Greenville and Lugoff, S.C.

About Fenwick Equestrian
The McEwans, have more than 80 years of combined experience in the equine industry. Fred McEwan worked for Sam-Son Farm in Canada and in Kentucky for Normandy Farm, Spendthrift Farm, Lane's End and Mill Ridge. Wilhelmina McEwan was an accomplished Grand Prix rider before obtaining her thoroughbred trainers' license.  She became director of racing at Spendthrift Farm where she worked closely with some of the top trainers in the world. Wilhelmina was a recipient of the 2004 Business Advisory Council's Business Woman of the Year award in South Carolina.
