HUNT'S LITHOGRAPH MEMORIALIZES ESPINOZA, AMERICAN PHAROAH AT BELMONT STAKES

New Orleans-based artist Michael Hunt unveiled a lithograph today based on a painting of Jockey Victor Espinoza riding Triple Crown winner American Pharoah.  Espinoza personally hand-signed each print in the edition and gave Hunt his race worn pants.

Hunt is known worldwide for his elaborate art prints. Hunt has painted and presented works of art to Pope John Paul II, President Bill Clinton and countless celebrities, athletes and entertainers, but taking someone's pants is a first even for this eccentric artist.

Hunt's painting has been produced as a beautiful lithograph limited to only 350 worldwide. Individual swatches of the pants, as well as a sealed container of Finish Line Dirt from Belmont taken after American Pharoah's victory, is displayed within the matting of each framed print.

When asked why so few prints were produced, Hunt replied, "When Victor gave me his pants I wanted to share their historical significance with the world. The problem is, they are very small!

Prints are available exclusively from huntstudio.com or by calling 800-426-1379.
