Some thoughts on the market at the Fasig-Tipton July select yearling sale, which performed as expected except in the case of the average price, which didn't fall as much as most people predicted. And the return of 1975 auction graduate Seattle Slew, who appeared prominently in the families of expensive horses....

Catalog for select sale has more offspring by certain important veteran sires than it did a year ago....
