2011 Kentucky Oaks - Predict the Order of Finish

Who will win this year's Kentucky Oaks? Will it be a Joyful Victory? Is it time for a Summer Soiree? Are you expecting a Street Storm? Or will the results be Plum Pretty?

To participate, use your cursor to drag the selections on the left (currently arranged in post position order) to the blank placeholders on the right. Once you have completed ranking all of the horses, submit your entries and compare your results to the rest of the community. A first place ranking will earn 12 points, second place receives 11 points, and so on.

I am looking for a huge race from Kathmanblu.  There seems to be a lot of early speed in this race, which I am hoping burns out Joyful Victory.  I will be looking at Zazu and Kathmanblu to pick up the pieces while Plum Pretty, Joyful Victory and Daisy Devine fight it out for the show.

Hi there,

I believe that Plum Pretty is the strongest contender in this outstanding field.  Plum Pretty’s win at one and one sixteenths of a mile had a quick time of 1:43.18, over a second (approximately seven lengths) faster than Joyful Victory’s win in the Fantasy Stakes (1:44.74).  Both races were on a dirt surface.

I am a 14 year old horseracing enthusiast, and I write a blog about everything thoroughbred horseracing.  I think you all will be interested in reading my post on the KY Oaks.  Find me at:

Strange to hear some one hope that Joyful Victory gets burned up by a fast pace when she’ll be no where close to the pace setters in the race, if you go back and look at her prior races you’ll learn more about the horse and the way that she runs, she is relaxed early and only goes on cue, she is push button and when Mike Smith asks her she’ll leave them wanting. This is going to end up in a romp, memories of Proud Spell are abundant.

AAF....DO YOU JUST ALWAYS PICK ARK. MIDMEST HORSES? EVERY YEAR...REMEMBER YOUR OLD FASHIONED?  IS THAT ALL YOU DO? WAIT FOR THE HORSE TO RUN GOOD, THEN PICK IT?  TRY GETTING A HORSE BEFORE THEY PEAK....YOU'LL MAKE MORE.....wHO IS THE BEST HORSE IN THE RACE THAT DIDN'T RUN TOO GOOD? TRY IT!!!!

I like Joyful Victory, as she has Wild Again, Breeders Cup Classic winner, in her family which should definitely allow her to get the 1 1/8th miles. Don't know it Katmando and Zazu can't get that distance as they have Devils Bag(mainly sprint blood) and the gray Zazu seems like a 7 F horse. I do like Rosario (Zazu) though after watching this movie about him at the top of the page http://winby5.com/
