you have to be kidding me.enough of this attempt to invent superstars.she beat a secondary bunch of colts in the woodward and we want to make her the chalk for the cup,or better yet horse of the year.if a filly runs against colts,lets treat them as equals,and don't go gaga over a win against secondary competition.i am not putting her down,she is a very classy and superior race horse.but to overreact on a win is ludicrous.

what was the surprise in her win.based on any speed figure one may subscribe to,she was the fastest horse in the race.she also went off as the betting favorite.so there might be some sentimental bettors out there,i doubt the entire betting public made her the favorite based on sentiment of her being a filly.like when rachel won 2 years ago.she to was the fastest horse in the race by about 2 lenghts.yet it was a miracle she won.i dont see the romance.on the turf fillies constantly beat the boys,yet nobody goes crazy over the accomplishment.if a  filly takes on the boys and wins,give them their due credit as supeior horses that day.dont over dramatize the event to hype your print,blog or tweet.

Why is this even a G2 race anymore? When they cut the distance from 10f to 9f, they gutted the race. Classic winners like Alysheba and Sunday Silence no longer come, and the late developers like Tiznow have no reason to come.
