In The Media

An article by Tanya Tyler at bizlex.com on the first of three "Women Leading Kentucky" luncheons was sent to me by Erica Larson.

The article was very interesting, because the round table topic was 'How Kentucky Became Southern.' The article brought a brief history lesson, which of course involved horses. Notably Lexington, who graces the cover of our Blood-Horse Stallion Register. Cover image can be viewed here.

Please go read this brief article and grow your knowledge on how horses shaped Kentucky.

Social Media is booming, so grab onto the yellow rubber raft for your dear life and dive in over the white water of constant change.

Navigating all of the emerging technologies on the web is exciting and a passion for me. Cue geek snort. There is an award series that has grown and caught my eye relating to social media and equids.

I think it is always important to recognize people and organizations for hard work and effort. The Abbeyview Equine "Equestrian Social Media Awards" has a great goal of enriching the network of the equine world. "Connecting the global equestrian community" is a wonderful idea, as checking comments on our blogs, Twitter, and Facebook have more than revealed we enjoy discussing horses.

Please go check out these awards, even though they are not limited to the Thoroughbred industry. As a bias participant, please vote for TheHorse.com in TheHorse.com's several nominations!
