Everyone said my experience on Stephen Foster day at Churchill Downs would be totally different than my experiences on Derby day. Upon walking into the park it was fitting that a horse I favor, Grace Happens, won her race. The day ahead would turn out to be quite graceful indeed.

Curlin might not be the King of Pop but he is the King of Romp. I am determined to go to Churchill Downs Saturday to watch the ruling power of the race course.

Everyone has put in their two cents or even ten cents except me. So here is my 50 cents or so. Belmont picks and that wise old superstition.

I have stumbled upon a new angle to bet in the Belmont and this angle is original. You will only read it on here and yes, it has to do with horses and their tongue talents. Then there are a few other tongue stories on the side. Is there a talent you have seen from a horse that deserves some mention?

After reading many commenters' posts and thinking more and more about it my self, everyone wants to know how big and bad Big Brown truly is. Let's see him race Curlin. On top of that, what about a legacy for Better Than Honour?

Big Brown just blew away the competition once again. He might not be the second coming of Secretariat, but how impressive has he been still. Please share your thoughts and excitement of this unfolding story.

Working the red carpet, handicapping and all the sweet turf racing you can handle. Better late than never as Part 1 held my experience with the Derby its' self. Now read of other races and experiences from Oaks and Derby days.

A recap of the race and all the events involved with the actual race it's self. I was trackside, on the rail for the 134th Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. 1) Big Brown and Eight Belles. Pictures.

A fun day full of excitement and a whole lot of turf races. I love a good turf race and like to see "turf" sires run well on dirt. Specifically Giant Gizmo. The first race was a huge win. An exacta that paid fifteen bucks on a one dollar boxed bet...so really six bucks. The Oaks was amazing to watch on the rail. The ladies just glided on the track like ice skaters. Elegant from beginning to end.

Eight Belles is America's Next Top Model. Well, maybe not, but Nigel was on the back side of the track wandering around as we shot videos on lots of fun discussions. Look for the content in the Derby special of And They're Off! This post is brief commentary on some of todays events behind the track at Churchill Downs.
