Turns Out She's a Racehorse

Four weeks ago, we looked at a Thoroughbred mare named Surgeglobal and discussed whether she was broodmare quality. I thought you might like an update from the mare's seller:

Thanks so much for taking the time to write the blog.  I sold her but not as a broodmare.  The guy who bought her plans to race her locally.  That's pretty exciting!!

I agree -- that is exciting.  It's always nice to see a Thoroughbred getting a new opportunity, and this mare might go out at age 5 and prove to be as good as her successful brothers and sisters.  If Surgeglobal becomes a dependable runner, I believe it can only add to her appeal as a broodmare prospect.

I'm now going to add Surgeglobal to my Virtual Stable so I can follow along her renewed career.

Missed your first column on her. Went back and read it. Maybe I'm dense but her pedigree screams speed top and bottom. Where have they been running her? Does she have any early lick? If she shows speed away from the gate maybe find her a smaller track where they run 5/8 on a regular basis.I'm going out on a limb here cause I don't have enough imfo.

I'm not surprised she's gonna be raced because she's only 5 years old and probably still has some racing in her.

Give me some entry dates and work times on here too, so we can see how her pedigree relates to her siblings and possibly see how her value grows?
