A Star Is Born

Galileo (IRE) is launching a strong bid to establish himself as the natural heir to his sire, the magnificent Sadler's Wells, and he has a very promising-looking filly in the shape of Leo's Starlet (IRE), who is now headed for the Prix de Diane-French Oaks (Fr-I) after an impressive win in the Prix Cleopatre (Fr-III) to start the month.
A member of Galileo's third crop, Leo's Starlet is out of the Green Tune mare Premiere Creation (FR). She is rated a TrueNick A on the basis of the Galileo/Nijinsky II cross that has also produced last year's Prix Royal Oak (Fr-I) heroine Allegretto (IRE).
There is far more than that to the pedigree of Leo's Starlet, however. Firstly, both the dams of both Galileo and Premiere Creation are by Miswaki (making Leo's Starlet's sire and dam parallel Northern Dancer/Miswaki crosses).
There's more, however: Leo's Starlet's broodmare sire, Green Tune, is out of a mare by Mr. Prospector, the sire of Miswaki, and so is a parallel Northern Dancer/Mr. Prospector cross to Galileo.
Finally, Leo's Starlet's granddam is out of a Northern Dancer-line mare, so is a reverse Miswaki/Northern Dancer cross to Galileo.
