TrueNicks is happy to announce that the Pin Oak Stud stallions are the latest to join the TrueNicks team. The Versailles, Ky., stallion farm stands a trio of stallions, veteran Sky Classic (TrueNicks, SRO); the up-and-coming Broken Vow (TrueNicks, SRO); and Bob and John (TrueNicks, SRO), who recently completed his first year at stud.
Sky Classic was a three-time champion in Canada, and also champion turf horse in the U.S. He is sire of 53 stakes winners, including Canadian champions Thornfield and Sky Conqueror, and grade I winners Nothing to Lose and Stage Classic. He's also a promising broodmare sire, his daughters having produced 11 stakes winners including the One Thousand Guineas (Eng-I) victress Speciosa.
Unbridled's son Broken Vow is one of the countries most promising young sires. With his first three crops, he has already sired 17 stakes winners, including grade I winners Unbridled Belle and Cotton Blossom and graded scorers Private Vow, Sindy With an S., Matt's Broken Vow, and Polonius.
Bob and John is a son of Seeking the Gold - who already has six grade I-siring sons - out of the Deputy Minister mare Minister's Melody, a graded stakes winner from the family of Capote and Broad Brush. A winner and placed third in the Hollywood Futurity (gr. I) at 2, Bob and John returned to capture the Sham Stakes (gr. III) and Wood Memorial Stakes (gr. I). In his only starts at 4, he captured the Lone Star Park Handicap (gr. III), and missed by just a neck in the Texas Mile Stakes (gr. III). His first crop of foals arrive in 2009.
