Harlington (TrueNicks,SRO is the latest
addition to John Sikura's Hill ‘n' Dale Farm and TrueNicks is happy to welcome
him into the fold.
A $2.8 million colt, Harlington is the most expensive
yearling ever sold at public auction by the late Kentucky Derby (gr. I) winner
and champion Unbridled. Racing for Eugene Melnyk, he captured his first two
starts in impressive fashion and went on to prove his quality with a nice score
in the grade II Gulfstream Park Handicap.
His pedigree is
all the more compelling when it is considered that Unbridled has come up with several important sons in
Unbridled's Song (TrueNicks,SRO)
, Broken Vow (TrueNicks,SRO)
, and now Empire Maker (TrueNicks,SRO) -- and Harlington is the fourth
stakes winner out of Hall of Famer Serena's Song, one of the great race mares
of all time.
