Belgravia (TrueNicks,SRO will
join the roster at Hartley/De Renzo in Florida for the 2009 breeding season and is one also one
of the latest additions to the burgeoning list of TrueNicks stallions.
Belgravia sold
for $2 million at the 2006 Fasig-Tipton Calder sale and won the grade III Hollywood
Prevue Stakes over a field that included multiple graded stakes winner
Notional (TrueNicks,SRO). Being a seven-figure and stakes-winning juvenile has lead to sire
success in at least two other instances: Songandaprayer (TrueNicks,SRO)
, who graduated from Florida to
Kentucky after ranking among the top five freshmen sires in 2005, and this
year's leading first-crop sire Lion Heart (TrueNicks,SRO)
. By the internationally successful
Gone West (TrueNicks,SRO stallion Mr. Greeley (TrueNicks,SRO)
, Belgravia is out of the stakes-winning Stalwart
mare Peaks Mill. Her sister, Qualique, is the granddam of champion and dual
Classic winner Afleet Alex (TrueNicks,SRO)
.
