TrueNicks is pleased to
welcome the stallions that comprise the rosters of Dutchess Views Farm and
Questroyal Stud in New York.
Andromeda's Hero (TrueNicks,SRO)
was one of the better runners of his generation with a graded win at 3 to
go along with a runner-up finish to Afleet Alex (TrueNicks,SRO)
in the Belmont Stakes (gr. I)
and additional placings in the Arkansas Derby and Jim Dandy S. (both gr.
II). At 4, he again knocked heads with the bes,t placing in three more grade
Is, including the Jockey Club Gold to Bernardini (TrueNicks,SRO)
and the Suburban Handicap to
Invasor (ARG) (TrueNicks,SRO). The son of Kentucky Derby (gr. I) winner Fusaichi Pegasus (TrueNicks,SRO)
will stand his third
season in 2009.
The A.P. Indy (TrueNicks,SRO)
son Anasheed (TrueNicks,SRO) saw his first crop hit the
races in 2008 and he's among the top five leading freshman sires in New York. A
graded stakes-placed juvenile, Anasheed is out of the champion Nureyev mare
Flagbird.
Roaring Fever (TrueNicks,SRO) also ranks among the top five first-crop
sires in the Empire State. He too, was graded-placed at 2 and went on to win
or place in four other black type events. He is a son of Storm Cat and full
brother to multiple grade I winner Raging Fever and to Stormin Fever, the sire
of 21 stakes winners, including the grade I winners Sweet Talker and Tarlow.
1995 Breeders' Cup Turf (gr. IT) winner and Eclipse champion Northern Spur (IRE) (TrueNicks,SRO) will be entering his 12th season at
stud. In addition to a pair of stakes victories in France, Northern Spur also
captured the grade I Oak Tree Invitational stateside. His best runner so far as a
sire is the grade III winner Chausson Poire.
Uncle Camie (TrueNicks,SRO) is a son of the New York-based Devil's Bag
son Abaginone. In his racing days he captured the grade III Bold Ruler
Handicap, earning a 109 Beyer speed figure. His first foals are weanlings of
2008.
Yankee Mon (TrueNicks,SRO) is a son of the late Maria's Mon, the sire of
several top runner including Kentucky Derby winner Monarchos and Eclipse champion Wait A While. Winner of the Evan Shipman Stakes, Yankee Mon is out of
the Seattle Slew mare Sodeo Sodeo, a sister to the dam of Spinaway (gr. I)
winner Appealing Zophie. Yankee Mon's first foals arrive in 2009.
Veteran stallion Jade Hunter (TrueNicks,SRO) is best known as the sire of
Horse of the Year Azeri. She is among his 47 stakes winners that also include
the additional grade I winners Diazo, Stutka, and Yagli.
Patriot Act (TrueNicks,SRO) burst on the scene with his runner-up effort
to Consolidator in the grade I Lane's End Breeders' Futurity while still a
maiden. He went on to win or place in six additional stakes and rack up over
$450,000 in earnings. He's out of the graded stakes-winning Copelan mare
Classic Value and is a brother to the multiple graded stakes winner Class Kris,
the dam of dual grade I winner Student Council (TrueNicks,SRO)
. Patriot Act stands his second
season in 2009.
