Free TrueNicks sireline ratings will once again be available for the 12
stallions standing at Stonewall Farm in Versailles, Ky.
Stonewall's Medaglia d'Oro (TrueNicks,SRO)
is off to a tremendous start
to his stallion career. The son of El Prado (IRE) (TrueNicks,SRO)
won or placed in many of the
world's most important races, including the Belmont Stakes (gr. I), the
Breeders' Cup Classic (gr. I), the Travers S. (gr. I), the Dubai World Cup (UAE-I), etc. He's passing on that high quality to his first crop. He's the sire of
17 winners so far and already has four stakes winners (two graded) to his
credit. In fact, he's the co-leading first=crop sire of stakes winners.
Doneraile Court (TrueNicks,SRO)
and Marquetry (TrueNicks,SRO)
are the other Stonewall
stallion with runners and they've both sired some good ones as well.
Doneraile
Court is among the top 25 on the General Sire list in 2008 and has been
represented by a pair of North American grade I winners this year in Cocoa Beach
(CHI) and Ariege.
Marquetry has sired 33 stakes winners so far, including a
pair of Breeders' Cup Sprint (gr. I) winners and champions Artax and Squirtle
Squirt.
The Stonewall
roster is rounded out by nine stallions who will have their first crops race
over the next few seasons.
In 2009, we'll
see the first runners by multiple grade I winner and champion [Leroidsanimaux], stakes-winning Value Plus (TrueNicks,SRO)
(a son of Unbridled's Song (TrueNicks,SRO)
), and Unforgettable Max (TrueNicks,SRO)
(a stakes-winning full brother to Afleet Alex (TrueNicks,SRO)).
In 2010, A. P. Warrior (TrueNicks,SRO) (a
multiple graded stakes winning son of A.P. Indy (TrueNicks,SRO)), Da Stoops (TrueNicks,SRO)
(a multiple stakes
winner by Distorted Humor (TrueNicks,SRO)
), Hawthorne Gold Cup (gr. II) winner It's No Joke (TrueNicks,SRO)
, and
Dwyer/Super Derby (gr. II) winner [StrongContender get their shots.
Multiple
grade I winner and Eclipse champion Lawyer Ron (TrueNicks,SRO)
, and Spellbinder (TrueNicks,SRO)
, multiple
graded stakes-winning son of Tale of the Cat (TrueNicks,SRO)
, will stand their second seasons in 2009.
