Breeders will once again be able to run complimentary matings with
the 10 stallions at Vinery's Kentucky farm, and the five sires at the Vinery Florida branch.
The latest edition to the Kentucky roster is grade I-winning 2-year-old Street Hero (TrueNicks,SRO). A son of Street Cry (IRE) (TrueNicks,SRO)
,
Street Hero finished second to Midshipman in a Del Mar maiden and the Del Mar
Futurity (gr. I), before gaining revenge over that rival in the Norfolk Stakes
(gr. I). On his only other outing, Street Hero finished third to Midshipman and
Square Eddie in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile (gr. I). Street Hero is from the
immediate family of Turn-to, and his fourth dam is similary-bred half-sister to that
horse.
Among Street Hero's barn mates are More Than Ready (TrueNicks,SRO)
, already the sire of 50 stakes winners; Posse (TrueNicks,SRO)
, the leading freshman sire of
2007; Breeders' Cup Sprint (gr. I) victor Silver Train (TrueNicks,SRO)
; and, recently arrived from Florida Repent (TrueNicks,SRO)
, sire of six stkes winners in his first crop, including
graded winners Crown of Thorns and Atoned.
Among the team at Vinery Florida's facility are $3 million earner Peace Rules (TrueNicks,SRO)
; who has 22 2-year-old
winners, including stakes winner Trifecta King, from his first crop this year;
A.P. Indy's near-millionaire son Congrats (TrueNicks,SRO)
;
and multiple grade I winner Pomeroy (TrueNicks,SRO)
