Complimentary TrueNicks hypothetical mating reports for the stallions standing under the Walmac banner
will once again be available to breeders in 2009.
Eight stallions
stand at Walmac's flagship farm in Lexington, Ky. The roster is headed by
Successful Appeal (TrueNicks,SRO)
, the leading first-crop sire of 2007. That year he had
progeny earnings of over $1.7 million, then a figure second only to Danzig.
Songandaprayer (TrueNicks,SRO)
was the fourth-ranked freshman sire in 2005 and he was the #3
sire of juvenile winners in 2008 with 32.
Ready's Image (TrueNicks,SRO) and Salute the Sarge (TrueNicks,SRO)
are the two newest stallions at Walmac-Kentucky. By More Than Ready (TrueNicks,SRO)
, Ready's
Image was one of the better East Coast juveniles of 2007 with impressive wins
in the Tremont and Sanford Stakes. (gr. II) (over Tale of Ekati), as well as finishing
runner-up in the grade I Hopeful Stakes. That same summer in California,
Salute the Sarge was dominating the 2-year-old stakes program in Southern California
with wins in the Hollywood Juvenile Championship (gr. III) and the Best Pal
Stakes (gr. II) (over Georgie Boy). He too earned grade I black type with
runner-up finishes in the both the Del Mar Futurity and the Norfolk
Stakes (both gr. I). Both Ready's Image and Salute the Sarge came back to take
stakes at 3.
The Walmac-Kentucky roster
is rounded out by Bandini (TrueNicks,SRO), winner of the grade I Blue Grass Stakes, who is out of a
half-sister to Stormy Atlantic; the undefeated graded stakes winner Cactus Ridge (TrueNicks,SRO)

, a champion and multiple group I winner by Sunday Silence;
