Shadwell is home to several very promising young stallions, inluding Invasor (ARG) (TrueNicks,SRO). The son of Candy Stripes was an unbeaten Horse of the Year in South America and he earned that same distinction in North America by reeling off successive victories in the Pimlico Special (gr.I), Suburban H. (gr. I), Whitney H. (gr. I) and Breeders Cup Classic (gr. I) (over Bernardini). His only career loss came in the '06 UAE Derby (gr. II) which he avenged a year later with a facile romp in the Dubai World Cup (gr. I). His first foals are current weanlings.
The first crops by Daaher (TrueNicks,SRO), Jazil (TrueNicks,SRO) and Mustanfar (TrueNicks,SRO) are also weanlings this fall. Jazil won the 2006 Belmont Stakes (gr. I), the year before his little sister, champion Rags to Riches accomplished that same feat. One of his first colts through the ring was the weanling sales topper at the OBS October sale.
Daaher made it look all too easy in the 2007 Cigar Mile (gr. I), disposing of Breeders' Cup Sprint (gr. I) winner and Eclipse Champion Midnight Lute. The son of Awesome Again is a full sister to dual grade I winner Spun Sugar.
Mustanfar is another intriguing prospect, especially in this era of three surface racing in North America. The son of Unbridled won a pair of graded events as a three-year-old and earned blacktype on turf, dirt and synthetic surfaces. He is out of the Lyphard mare Manwah, a daughter of Champion Height of Fashion, herself the dam of three Champions.
Shadwell is also home to the veteran stallions Dayjur (TrueNicks,SRO), Dumaani (TrueNicks,SRO), Intidab (TrueNicks,SRO) and Kayrawan (TrueNicks,SRO).
