Ten time stakes winner Costa Rising (TrueNicks,SRO) is one of the newest additions to the TrueNicks.
He is one of the all-time great Louisiana-bred runners, amassing over $900,000 in career earnings, third most ever among La-breds. He won some of the most important stakes events in the state by laughingly large margins - the Louisiana Champions Day Classic S. by 15 ¼ lengths and the Evangeline Mile H. by 12 ¼ (while setting a track record). His exploits earned him championship honors in Louisiana three times. Costa Rising is a son of the stakes winning Royal Academy son Royal Strand (Ire) out of a mare by List (a son of Herbager).
