Woodstead Farm in Chehalis, Washington, has made complimentary TrueNicks reports available for Alaazo and Malt Magic.
Alaazo (
TrueNicks,
SRO) is by champion sire and sire of sires A. P. Indy and was purchased for $350,000 by Zayat Stables as a 2006 yearling. In 2009, Alaazo placed in both the Greenwood Cup and the Turfway Park Fall Championship (gr. III) where he defeated grade I winner Dominican. He's out of the graded stakes-winning Deputy Minister mare Atelier, a granddaughter of matriarch Courtly Dee.
Malt Magic (
TrueNicks,
SRO) also raced for Zayat Stables after being purchased for $320,000, the second highest priced yearling by Cherokee Run sold in 2005. Out of the Last Tycoon (IRE) mare La Cucina (IRE), Malt Magic is a full brother to Arkansas Derby (gr. II) winner Sir Cherokee. He showed some brilliance of his own on the track with two victories coming by a combined 17 ΒΌ lengths.
