Diabolical (TrueNicks,SRO) was not only an exceptionally fast and durable sprinter, he was one of the more admirable runners on the world stage the past few seasons. Winner of the grade II Alfred G. Vanderbilt H. and the grade III Maryland Sprint H. in the U. S., Diabolical was sent on a world wide campaign after being purchased by Sheikh Mohammed. He won or placed in group races in Europe, Singapore and Dubai, where he won a group III and was group I placed. Back in North America, he ran second in the very first Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint in 2008. Overall, Diabolical won or placed in 22 races and earned nearly $1.5 million. Given his pedigree it’s no surprise he was such a talented international sprinter. He is by Breeders’ Cup Sprint (gr. I) winner and Eclipse Champion Sprinter Artax out of a mare by the European Champion Sprinter Dayjur.
