Benny the Bull (TrueNicks,SRO) emerged as one of America’s top sprinters in 2007 with big figure runner up finish to Champion Midnight Lute in the Forego H. (gr. I) at Saratoga. He earned a grade I win of his own later that season in the De Francis Memorial Dash (gr. I). He then tore through an unbeaten 2008 season and earned Eclipse honors as the top sprinter in North America and the equivalent title in Dubai where he annexed the grade I Golden Shaheen. He retires with over $2.5 million in career earnings.
Benny the Bull is by the Mt. Livermore stallion Lucky Lionel out of the stakes winning Birdonthewire mare Comet Cat. His female line includes former leading first crop sire Honour and Glory as well as the important stallion Fappiano.
