Duckhorn (TrueNicks,SRO) ranks among the leading third crop sires in Pennsylvania in 2009 by progeny earnings and among his good runners is the multiple stakes placed Sweet Sugar. Duckhorn was one of the very best runners sired by perennial mid-Atlantic leading sire Not For Love. He racked up nearly $750,000 in earnings, winning four stakes, including the grade II Hawthorne Gold Cup over multiple grade I winner Lido Palace.
Changeintheweather (TrueNicks,SRO) also ranks among the leading third crop stallions in the Keystone State. He’s a son of sire of sires Gone West from a very good Buckland Farm family - he’s out of the Pleasant Colony mare Meteor Colony, a full sister to three graded winners including Champion Pleasant Stage. Changeintheweather was a grade I winner in Canada as a juvenile and won or placed in six other stakes. Multiple stakes winner Cold Trial (out of a mare by Honour and Glory) is his leading runner so far.
