It would be hard to find a stallion in Kentucky with a pedigree better than the Sparks View Farm stallion Heart of the Storm (TrueNicks,SRO). He’s by the legendary Storm Cat out of the Bold Hour mare Amelia Bearhart. This makes him a brother to multiple grade I winner Chief Bearhart (Horse of the Year in Canada twice and an Eclipse winner in the U. S.) as well as the grade I winner Explosive Red and the stakes winner Ruby Ransom (herself the dam of two graded winners). Not surprisingly, Amelia Bearhart was named Broodmare of the Year in Canada in 1996. She is also a granddaughter of Gold Digger who is, of course, the dam of Mr. Prospector. Heart of the Storm will stand his second season in 2010.
