Out of the Desert Wine mare Not So Careless, Elusive Charlie is a half brother to a pair of stakes winners, including multiple grade I-winning millionaire Subordination. Elusive Charlie is also a brother to Sweet and Careless, the dam of 2009 Alabama Stakes (gr. I) winner Careless Jewel. Sweet and Careless is a sister to two more grade I winners in Cacoethes and Fabulous Notion, the dam of three-time grade I winner Fabulously Fast and granddam of 2009 graded winner Decelerator.

Elusive Charlie joins a Murmur Farm roster that also features Cherokee's Boy (TrueNicks,SRO) , Louis Quatorze (TrueNicks,SRO) and Scipion (TrueNicks,SRO).
