Denis of Cork On TrueNicks

Denis of Cork (TrueNicks,SRO) began his career with three straight decisive victories. He won his debut as a two-year-old at Churchill Downs and culminated his winning streak in the grade III Southwest Stakes at Oaklawn Park. He confirmed his quality in the subsequent Triple Crown series, running third in Big Brown’s Kentucky Derby (gr. I) and second in the Belmont Stakes (gr. I). He retires having earned $613,252.

A $250,000 juvenile purchase, Denis of Cork is by the good Storm Cat grandson Harlan’s Holiday. He is out of a daughter of Unbridled, the damsire of Tapit, and his pedigree is full of stakes winners, including Da Tara, who he couldn’t quite catch in the Belmont.

Denis of Cork begins his second career at Vinery Florida where he’ll stand along side Benny the Bull (TrueNicks,SRO), Congrats (TrueNicks,SRO) , D'wildcat (TrueNicks,SRO) , J Be K (TrueNicks,SRO), Maimonides (TrueNicks,SRO) and Pomeroy (TrueNicks,SRO) .
