Free Auction Pages Now Available for the April Two-Year-Old in Training Sales

The TrueNicks Auction Guide pages are now available for the upcoming Two-Year-Old in Training sales at Keeneland and OBS. The Keeneland April sale will be conducted on Monday, April 5 while the OBS Spring auction runs from April 19-22. Both sales produced juvenile champions last year with Champion 2yo Colt Lookin' at Lucky emerging from the '09 Keeneland April sale and Champion 2yo Filly She Be Wild coming out of the '09 OBS Spring sale.
At Keeneland there are 64 hips TrueNicks rated A or better, including 25 rated A++. Among the A+ rated horses buyers will find sons of Dynaformer, Lemon Drop Kid Mr. Greeley, Speightstown, Stormy Atlantic, Tale of the Cat, and Tapit, and daughters of Awesome Again, Broken Vow, Cherokee Run, Maria’s Mon, Medaglia d’Oro, and More Than Ready. Freshman sires Artie Schiller, Bluegrass Cat, First Samurai War Front, and With Distinction all have A++ progeny, while two exceptional A.P. Indy line horses with their first crops, Bernardini and Silver Train, have A+ rated individuals.
The OBS April sale has a bumper catalog with 1221 hips in two books. From a TrueNicks perspective, the quality is strung throughout the book, the horses rated A or better starting with the very first on offer, a son of Pure Prize, to hip 1218, a daughter of Trippi. Overall, buyers will find just over 400 horses with A or better ratings scattered through the book, and just over 150 A++ rated horses.
