This week we are profiling some interesting first crop offerings at the upcoming Fasig-Tipton July Yearlings sale. Click here for a complete list of Fasig-Tipton July TrueNicks reports.
Hip# 25 – Corinthian – Dance Special, by Theatrical (TrueNicks C)
There are at least six stakes winners on the A.P. Indy/Nureyev cross, and while it has only performed as well as opportunity would dictate, Nureyev is especially interesting here as Corinthian’s third dam, Number, is a graded winning three-parts-sister to that horse. The pedigree also offers the combination of the genetic relatives Mr. Prospector and Alydar which we have seen to great effect in the pedigrees of major stakes winners. While from a TrueNicks perspective this pedigree is "average," we would like to suggest that the pattern that it offers will outperform this. Click the thumbnail for a full-size TrueNicks report.
Hip# 32 – Purim – Erica's Melody, by Unbridled's Song (TrueNicks A++)
One wouldn’t naturally have thought of Roberto as a natural “physical” cross for Unbridled's Song (TrueNicks,SRO), especially the bigger Roberto line representatives, such as Dynaformer (TrueNicks,SRO) or Kris S. Obviously breeders share that line of thinking as there have been only four starters on the Roberto/Unbridled’s Song cross, however, two of that quartet are graded winners, one by Dynaformer, who is the sire of Purim (TrueNicks,SRO). The cross of Purim over Unbridled line mares is particularly interesting, as Purim goes back to Aspidistra (dam of Dr. Fager), and Unbridled is inbred to that mare.
