Line of David Joins TrueNicks

Arkansas Derby (gr. I) winner Line of David, who retires to B. Wayne Hughes’ Spendthrift Farm for the 2011 breeding season, has joined TrueNicks.

Making his first stakes appearance in the Arkansas Derby, Line of David (TrueNicks) set quick fractions and held off gr. I winner Dublin and subsequent Kentucky Derby (gr. I) winner Super Saver, with gr. I winner Noble’s Promise further back.

A winner on dirt and turf, Line of David is the most accomplished son of multiple gr. I winner and Kentucky Derby (gr. I) runner-up Lion Heart, by Tale of the Cat. Line of David is from the direct female family of Mr. Prospector – his fourth dam is Gold Digger. Line of David’s second dam, Kentucky Lill, is by Raise a Native, making her a three-parts-sister to Mr. Prospector. Furthermore, Mr. Prospector and Kentucky Lill appear 4 x 2 in Line of David’s pedigree.

Line of David's stud fee will be announced at a later date.

He's a beautiful horse and ran a thrilling race. It was a privilege to see it in person. We just couldn't figure out why Jon Court wasn't riding him in the Derby.
