Graded stakes-winning Straight Line (TrueNicks,SRO) has joined TrueNicks. The son of Boundary stands at Fairberry Farm in Waterloo, Illinois.
A four-length maiden winner at two, Straight Line won the Honest Pleasure Stakes in just his second start. He went on to place second in the Arlington-Washington Futurity (gr. III) and win the one-mile Iroquois Stakes (gr. III) at Churchill Downs.
At age three, Straight Line found success primarily at seven furlongs. He won the Forward Pass Stakes and placed second in Keeneland's Perryville (gr. III) at that distance, and won the Ack Ack Handicap (gr. III) at 7 ½ furlongs back at Churchill Downs.
At four, Straight Line equaled Turfway Park's six-furlong track record in the Holiday Cheer Stakes, clocking 1:08.40. In 26 starts, Straight Line won 10 times, including 5 stakes, for earnings of $489,026.
By Boundary, also the sire of Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner Big Brown, Straight Line is a member of the fast Danzig sire line. He was produced from the winning Strawberry Road mare Zanti, from the same family as Hollywood Oaks (gr. I) winner Tango Dancer and Australian multiple group I winner Sheer Kingston.
Straight Line's first crop are yearlings of 2010. He stands for a $1,500 fee at Fairberry Farms.
