BC Classic Winner Blame Joins TrueNicks

Multiple grade I winner Blame (TrueNicks) has been retired to Claiborne Farm and will stand for a $35,000 fee in 2011. Breeders are now able to run unlimited free nick reports with Blame, courtesy of Claiborne Farm.

A son of Arch (TrueNicks,SRO), who also stands at Claiborne, Blame won seven stakes in his career, including the Fayette (gr. II), Clark Handicap (gr. II), Stephen Foster (gr. I), Whitney (gr. I), and Breeders' Cup Classic (gr. I), where he defeated top racemare Zenyatta.

Back in June, TrueNicks asked readers Who has the best stallion's pedigree?, and Blame was voted the winner narrowly over Quality Road.

Out of the stakes-placed Seeking the Gold mare Liable, Blame is from the family of top sires Sadler's Wells, Fairy King, Nureyev, Numerous, and Jade Robbery, as well as top recent performers Archipenko and Corinthian.

The Roberto line did very well at Breeders Cup. Kris S. is in the pedigree of Zenyatta and Blame, were there more? And has the Kris S. sire line shown more affinity for dirt than Dynaformer, who is one of the leading turf sires and is the leading steeplechase sire?

Definitely, Karen. Uncle Mo is out of a mare by Arch.

I find the cross of Blame with Zenyatta VERY intriguing. What do you all think? Duplicates Kris S, Forli and Mr Prospector.

Why not go with Blame - Acoma?  Look at that nice inbreeding to Danzig, Alydar, Mr. Prospector...I love Empire Maker.  I wish I owned Acoma because I would breed her to Blame in a minute. :)

I'd like to see Zenyatta with Bernardini or Einstein, or even the grand old man, AP Indy.  As to Kris S. as a stud...wow...just look at Rock Hard Ten, one of my favorites....but I believe, like Blame, there would be toooo much inbreeding there.  RHT's babies started the year great but seemed to wane during the last half.  Will they pick up as 4 year olds as the old man did?  Didn't Bold Chieftain just retire this year...what does it look like for him?  I'd just love to see a little Slew in Zen's future.
