Mexican Stallions Join TrueNicks

Five stallions standing in Mexico have joined TrueNicks. All stallions are part of Germán Larrea's Rancho San Jorge group.

Almuhathir (TrueNicks) is a Capote half brother to Met Mile (gr. I) winner and successful sire Wild Rush. The immediate family also includes graded stakes winner Summer Raven and her Holy Bull (gr. III)-winning son Winslow Homer. Out of the stakes-winning Plugged Nickle mare Rose Park, Almuhathir was an $850K yearling buy and went on to earn over $230K on the track while placing in the Whirlaway Handicap (gr. III). At stud, he is the sire of back-to-back Futurity Mexicano (MEX-I) winners: Capotazo (2009) and Xanadu (2010). Xanadu also captured the Clasico Gaspar Rivera Torres (MEX-I).

Arbitrate (TrueNicks,SRO) is a stakes-placed son of Deputy Minister and champion three-year-old filly Serena's Song (by Rahy), making him a half brother to five stakes winners, including Coronation (gr. I) heroine Sophisticat and grade II winners and young sires Grand Reward and Harlington. With first crop four-year-olds of 2011, Arbitrate is already the sire of Clasico Criadores Mexicanos (MEX-I) winner Cappucine and Mexican gr. I placers Delirio and Doctortico. Arbitrate stands at Rancho El Mana.

Devil's Bag stallion Boca Di Leone (TrueNicks) is a half brother to Cigar Mile (gr. I) winner Purge. The speedy family includes sires Valid Wager, Valid Expectations, and Littleexpectations, as well as three-time gr. I winner Jersey Girl and her son Jersey Town, victorious in last season's Cigar Mile (gr. I). Kentucky-bred Boca Di Leone raced in Mexico where he won five times and was stakes-placed. His first foals are three-year-olds of 2011.

Multiple graded stakes-placed Free Thinking (TrueNicks,SRO) is an Unbridled half brother to four-time graded winner Bedanken. The dam, winning Strawberry Road mare Danka, has produced six winners, and all are black type stakes performers. Free Thinking placed in the Firecracker (gr. II) and Kelso (gr. II) en route to earnings of $322K. With first crop two-year-olds of 2011, Free Thinking stands at Rancho El Mana.

Point Determined (TrueNicks,SRO), a son of Point Given, started as the fourth choice in the 2006 Kentucky Derby (gr. I) following placings in the San Felipe (gr. II) and Santa Anita Derby (gr. I). He later won the Affirmed Handicap (gr. III) at Hollywood Park. Out of the grade III-winning Broad Brush mare Merengue, Point Determined hails from the immediate family of King's Bishop (gr. I) winner Visionaire. He has first crop yearlings of 2011 and stands at Rancho San Isidro.
